  Facts and Information

  The collars were developed in 1990 in Finland and have been extensively used.
  They are made from recycled paper, peat, ash and natural glue. They will bio-degrade into the soil in 3-4 years.

  The collar's unique patented design enables the collar to conform to different ground  conditions and allows it to bond
  quickly to the ground.
  Designed with a pre-cut slot to quickly slide around the base of the plant.
  It is not necessary to fasten the collar to the ground, except in extreme cases where there is known to be high wind.
  Raised channels on the top surface of the collar capture water. When wet, the collar bonds to the ground and stays tightly
  in place.
  The collar's shape also prevents wind from dislodging the collar.
  The collar acts as a thermal buffer to create conditions for increased growth and survival.
  To install, Slide the collar around the base of the plant with the slot facing downhill.
